Coronary Angioplasty and Stenting

Under local anaesthetic and sedation, a small tube (catheter) is placed into the groin and carefully directed to the heart.

A balloon attached to the catheter is inflated to flatten the fatty deposits and widen the blood vessel.

A stent or small metal mesh is put in place to keep the vessel open.

I Think Red because I found out the facts about heart disease.
